Sacred Weaving of Democracy

Artistic Journey

"Artistic Journey" is a video series dedicated to taking viewers on a journey of Patricia Qualls' paintings.

There is something special about viewing a painting in person; being able to take it in from afar, slowly moving closer to exam the nuances that give the painting its energy and character.

The painting chosen for this edition is Sacred Weaving of Democracy: Century after Century, Decade after Decade, Day by Day | 96 x 60." This painting was inspired by the hard work miracle of Democracy. The many overlapping layers--like our Democracy--give it its richness and strength. Hues of blue and red intertwine atop a deep matte black, symbolizing the two polarities of our democratic system. The colors do not blend but weave. Some areas dominated by blue and others red, both creating the fabric that allow our golden freedom to shine through. The hues of gold make it a wonder to behold in person. Light dancing on the canvas from many different perspectives, reminding us of the beauty and power in the hard work miracle of democracy; a sacred process that must be respected and cherished.

**Currently Exhibited at our Carmel Valley Location
